Whether you have been to one wedding or one hundred, what is always remembered most are the unique things incorporated that made it stand out. When planning your wedding, think about the things your guests will truly appreciate and enjoy. Instead of stressing about the colors of your napkins matching your bridesmaid dresses, consider these unique ways to keep your wedding day special.

Get Personal

Share Your Favorite Sweet

To appease the cake lovers, they did include cupcakes as well. A few other unique dessert ideas we have seen in lieu of a cake are donuts, candy, cookies, smores, churros, and macarons.

Decorate With Cherished Pieces

A great way to stay on budget is to decorate with items from your home that you love or that have special meaning. Take a look at this teapot a Chaumette couple added to their decor because it was very special to them. Things like this make your wedding day even more personal and unique.

Remember Your Furry Friends

If you are a dog lover and know you have several dog-loving wedding guests, consider a dog treat bar. It is a great added favor for wedding guests that they will appreciate and love. There are many places to buy fun dog snacks, but you can also make easy homemade dog treats as well!

Incorporate Technology

Video booth

We all love a photo booth at a wedding, but have you ever seen a video booth? Think back to how weddings used to be captured. A video camera was passed along as aunts, uncles, coworkers, cousins, and friends would share their best wishes and whatever advice came to the top of their head while the camera was passed their way. A video booth is a similar idea, but wedding guests can visit the video booth whenever they want during the reception and their messages are much more private. You may be surprised at the amount of heartfelt and solid marriage advice you get!

Live Stream

Although it may seem unusual to attend a wedding via the internet, there are often many people that are not able to make it weddings for one reason or another. A great way to include them is by live streaming your wedding ceremony and possibly even parts of your reception. According to a Zola.com survey, 7% of couples have started to live stream their wedding for those who cannot be present. When a family member or loved one is too ill to attend or cannot travel to your wedding (think about our troops overseas) the next best thing is to give them a virtual seat at your wedding. Live streams can often be saved and you then have another way to look back and cherish your wedding day.

GoPro

A wedding videographer is something we always recommend if you can afford to hire one. Another way to capture the day is to include a Go Pro camera in the bride’s bouquet or the groom’s boutonniere. It is a unique vantage point and amazing way to relive the best day of your life!

These are just a few of the many ways we have seen couples add a unique twist to their wedding day. Try incorporating a few of these ideas for a wedding your guests will always remember!
